• Why do I have to sign up for a Winner’s Edge account to enter the Contest?

  For the OLG WINTARIO50 Community Contest, all participants who want to enter a ticket bought in-store are required to sign-up for a free Winner's Edge account.

  Your Winner’s Edge account is your exclusive ticket to all things OLG. Fully customizable to your unique preferences, you can opt-in to receive winning numbers and jackpot alerts, breaking lottery and sports news and updates, the latest lottery contests, exclusive coupons and more. Signing up only takes a couple of minutes, and it’s easy to change your account preferences or unsubscribe at any time.

• How do I enter in-store tickets?

  • Purchase WINTARIO50 tickets in-store from June 24 to August 14, 2025.
  • Sign in or sign up for an OLG Winner’s Edge Account. If you already have an account, log in now.
  • Visit the Enter Tickets page , select your Region and enter your WINTARIO50 ticket number.
  • Earn one (1) entry for you into the Participant Draw and one (1) entry for your selected United Way Region into the Community Prize Draw for every ticket entered.
  • Players have until August 18, 2025, at 12 pm ET to enter in-store tickets into the Contest.
  • All contest submissions must meet OLG requirements for valid entry and are subject to review. See OLG WINTARIO50 Community Contest Rules & Regulations to learn more.

• How do I enter WINTARIO50 tickets purchased on OLG.ca?

  Eligible tickets purchased on OLG.ca are automatically entered into the contest, following opt-in on OLG.ca.

• Do I have to purchase a WINTARIO50 ticket to participate in the Contest?

  In order to earn an Entry without making an eligible purchase, Eligible Participants must have a Winner’s Edge or OLG.ca Player account and take the following steps, including accepting the WINTARIO50 Community Contest Official Rules and Regulations:

  1. Print, type or handwrite clearly on one (1) or more pages of 8 ½” x 11” paper (letter-size).
     1. your first name, last name, full mailing address (street, apt./suite, city/town, province/territory, postal code) and day and evening telephone number,
     2. your date of birth,
     3. (1) your email address as registered on your Winner’s Edge account, or (2) your email address or username as registered on your OLG.ca Player Account
     4. your nominated United Way Region as per the list set out in Section 1,
     5. your acceptance of the WINTARIO50 Community Contest Official Rules and Regulations by writing the words “I agree to the WINTARIO50 Community Contest Official Rules and Regulations.”
     6. a minimum one hundred (100) word, unique and original essay describing OLG’s positive contributions to Ontario over the past 50 years; and
  2. mail it (in an envelope with sufficient postage) to: Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (c/o WINTARIO50 Community Contest) PO Box 60032, Etobicoke RPO Thorncrest, ON M9A 5G2 (“Request”).

  To be eligible, each Request must:

  1. be received separately in an envelope bearing sufficient postage (i.e. mass mail-in Requests in the same envelope will be void);
  2. be post-marked during the Contest Period and be received no later than August 5, 2025 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET, (to allow sufficient time for processing); and,
  3. include all required information as noted above.

  Eligible Participants who correctly follow the instructions noted above will receive one (1) Entry, consisting of a Participant Entry in the Participant Prize draw and a Nomination of their selected United Way Region in the Community Prize draw for each valid NPN Request. Once the Contest Manager has received and validated the Eligible Participant’s NPN Request and Winner’s Edge or OLG.ca account, the Contest Manager will submit an Entry to the user’s applicable Winner’s Edge or OLG.ca account.

• Who can participate in the OLG WINTARIO50 Community Contest?

  The Contest is available in Ontario only and only open to those residing in Ontario who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at time of Contest and who have a valid Winner’s Edge account or OLG.ca Player Account. OLG.ca Player Accounts must be in good standing in accordance with the Player Agreement and not have been archived, self-excluded, deactivated or placed on a break at time of opt-in.

  The Contest is not open to volunteers, employees, officers, directors, representatives or agents of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (“AGCO”), OLG. OLG’s authorized Lottery Retailers (unless the Lottery Retailer or their staff purchases a valid WINTARIO50 ticket from the location of another Lottery Retailer, on OLG.ca, or otherwise enter by way of the No Purchase Necessary option), the respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, Prize suppliers, advertising/promotion agencies of any of the foregoing parties, any entity involved in the development, production, implementation, administration, judging or fulfillment of the Contest, including the Contest Manager, and employees of United Way Centraide.

• What are the odds of winning the WINTARIO50 Community Contest player prize?

  Odds of winning the Participant Draw prize depend on the total number of nominations the Region Pool associated with the draw receives.

• How many contest entries can I earn?

  An Eligible Participant can earn a maximum total of 200 Entries, regardless of the method of Entry, and additionally subject to the following maximum number of Entries for each method:

  • 100 Entries for Eligible In-Store Tickets, (or NPN Entries associated to their Winner’s Edge account), and
  • 100 Entries for Eligible Online Tickets (or NPN Entries associated to their OLG.ca account)

  Any purchases or NPN Requests that exceed any of the limits will not generate Entries into the Contest.

• What do I do if I am having trouble entering my ticket?

  If you are having trouble entering your ticket, contact OLG at 1-800-387-0098.

• Are retailers eligible to enter this contest?

  Lottery Retailers and their staff are allowed to participate if they purchase a valid WINTARIO50 ticket from the location of another Lottery Retailer, on OLG.ca, or enter through the No Purchase Necessary option.

• Is there a skill-testing question I need to complete correctly before receiving my prize?

  Yes, a winner must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question and complete a waiver before having their prize awarded.

• Do I need to hold onto to the tickets that I've entered?

  No. We don’t require a winner to present the original ticket entered to claim their prize. However, make sure you check your original ticket at a retail location to see if it won a prize on the WINTARIO50 game.

• When will the winners be contacted?

  The potential winners will be notified as soon as reasonably possible following the August 21, 2025, draw date. Attempts will be made to contact a potential winner at the telephone number/email address listed in their Winner’s Edge or OLG.ca account. A potential winner will have five (5) business days after initial contact to provide proof of eligibility and to claim their prize.
