For The Beautiful Getaway Contest, all participants who want to enter a ticket bought in-store are required to sign-up for a free Winner's Edge account.

Your Winner's Edge account is your exclusive ticket to all things OLG. Fully customizable to your unique preferences, you can opt-in to receive winning numbers and jackpot alerts, breaking lottery and sports news and updates, the latest lottery contests, exclusive coupons and more. Signing up only takes a couple of minutes, and it's easy to change your account preferences or unsubscribe at any time.

  • Log in or sign up for an OLG Winner's Edge Account. If you already have an account, log in now.
  • Visit the Enter Tickets page to scan eligible Lottery and INSTANT tickets with your mobile device or desktop camera; you can also enter Lottery ticket numbers manually.
  • If you are having issues scanning your ticket, carefully review the below.
  • Every ticket successfully entered earns one (1) entry into The Beautiful Getaway Contest.
  • Players have until July 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. ET to enter tickets into the contest.
  • All contest submissions must meet OLG requirements for valid entry and are subject to review. See The Beautiful Getaway Contest Rules to learn more.

Eligible tickets purchased on OLG.ca are automatically entered into the contest, following opt-in on OLG.ca.

A:

Almost all Lottery tickets and INSTANT tickets are eligible! However, QUICKTICKET, Free Play and Exchange tickets are not eligible to enter the contest. Visit the Eligible Tickets page to view the full list of tickets.

No. To request an entry without purchase of a ticket, you must complete the following steps:

  1. Clearly handwrite your first name, last name, full address (Street, Apt./Suite, City/Town, Province, Postal Code), email address, day and evening telephone numbers, date of birth, the words "I agree to The Beautiful Getaway Contest Rules and Regulations", and a minimum 100-word hand-written and unique essay on "where I would go on vacation if I won, and why", and mail it (in an envelope with sufficient postage), to Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (c/o The Beautiful Getaway Contest) PO Box 47521 North York RPO Don Mills, ON, M3C 3S7. There is a maximum of one (1) request per envelope. If an OLG.ca player without a Winner's Edge account, please also include your OLG.ca account holder username. The email address provided in the letter must match the eligible participant's Winner's Edge account email address or OLG.ca username. No mechanical or digital reproduction permitted. All No Purchase Necessary (NPN) requests must be received no later than July 20, 2026.
  2. One (1) NPN request will be processed per submission. NPN requests may take up to 48 hours from receipt to be processed by the Contest Administrator.
  3. After correctly following the instructions noted above, for each valid NPN request you will receive one (1) entry into the contest draw.

Individuals who are residents of Ontario, eighteen (18) years of age or older, with a valid Winner's Edge Account or a valid OLG.ca Account.

The Contest is not open to volunteers, employees, officers, directors, representatives or agents of any of the following:

  1. the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (“AGCO”);
  2. the Sponsor;
  3. the Sponsor’s authorized Lottery Retailers (defined below in Section 3.3) (unless the Lottery Retailer or their staff purchases a valid Lottery ticket from the location of another Lottery Retailer, on OLG.ca, or otherwise enter by way of the No Purchase Necessary option);
  4. the respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, Prize suppliers, advertising/promotion agencies of any of the foregoing parties mentioned in (i) through (iii); and
  5. any entity involved in the development, production, implementation, administration, judging fulfillment of the Contest, including the Contest Manager.

Mobile Scanning Tips

Ensure you have a good internet connection and are in a well-lit area.

Use portrait mode (device upright) for best results.

When you activate the ticket scanner, a white crosshair will appear on your device’s screen. Ensure the crosshair is aligned with the barcode, the image is clear, the barcode is large enough to scan easily, and the entire barcode is visible within the image area.

Make sure the ticket’s barcode is easily readable with no folds, scratches, tears or INSTANT scratch-off material remaining.

Ensure your device’s auto-rotate/auto-flip function is off.

Where to find your barcode

Lottery tickets: Scan the barcode at the very bottom of the ticket.

Instant tickets: Completely scratch the Scratch & Scan area located on the front of the eligible ticket to reveal the barcode.

If you are unable to scan your ticket with your mobile device, try scanning with a different mobile device or your desktop computer, or enter Lottery tickets manually. If you continue to have issues, contact the OLG Support Centre at 1-800-387-0098.

Retailers and staff who handle lottery tickets at a location can only enter with eligible tickets purchased at a different OLG retail location or on OLG.ca. Employees who don't handle lottery tickets are not restricted regarding where they make ticket purchases to enter the contest. See Contest Rules for full eligibility details.

A:

Yes, a winner must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question before having their prize awarded.

A:

No. We don't require a winner to present the original eligible ticket entered to claim their prize. However, make sure you check your original ticket at a retail location to see if it won a prize.

A:

The potential winner will be notified as soon as reasonably possible following the draw date. Attempts will be made to contact a potential winner at the telephone number/email address listed in their Winner’s Edge or OLG.ca account. A potential winner will have five (5) business days after initial contact to provide proof of eligibility and to claim their prize.
